Nick Maley brings Star Wars back to Nuremberg

May4FXpo-filteredThe long wait to announce our upcoming events is over! After a month of discussions with Disney and Lucasfilm, I am proud to announce the showing of all six Star Wars movies at Cinecitta multiplex Nuremberg on May 3rd and 4th 2014. My efforts to bringing these movies to Nuremberg, as part of a Disney nation wide event, are a token of my commitment to bring world class entertainment events to the city and will be marked on May 4th by costumed street activities around Cinecitta and the surrounding area.

Details of those activities will be forthcoming in the next few days and will include fun children’s activities where they can interact with characters from many different movies including, of course, Star Wars. So be sure to mark your calendars and join the fun.

The Classic Trilogy has been in moratorium for a decade. So I have to thank Disney, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox for allowing this to happen. I will be opening the Star Wars Marathon Weekend on May 3rd when episodes I, II and III will be showing. The screening of the Classic Trilogy on May 4th will be attended by regional dignitaries and I will be adding insider insights by discussing the making of each of the classic movies, live before each screening.

Details of the screenings will be available from Cinecitta shortly. I understand that this will be a very limited screening with only 550 seats available for each trilogy. So I encourage fans to pre-order their tickets as soon as possible.

The FXpo team and I hope to see you there.

Nick Maley
